Why is there an option of 2 treads?
When utilising our instant quote calculator, you may encounter a result displaying two tread numbers. Allow us to clarify the reasoning behind this.
Given that our standard Monostring staircases maintain a 35-degree angle, certain measurements within the Total Height parameter prompt the provision of two options. This offers flexibility in the placement of your staircase treads, accommodating preferences for either slightly closer or further apart spacing.
For instance, if your floor to landing measurement is 2,550mm, you will have the choice between 13 or 14 treads. Opting for 13 treads, particularly advantageous if there is a door at the staircase's end, allows for increased space around the doorway. Conversely, selecting 14 treads results in treads positioned slightly closer together.
